About Me:Drew Lackovic holds an MFA in Writing from Spalding University (2008), and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2002). He resides in the [not at all] bustling village of Erie, PA with his gorgeous daughter, fox of a wife, and two stupid cats--stupid because one thinks himself a mafia don, and the other, well, he's just really fat. Professionally, he recently traded in his title of Corporate WageSlave for Lecturer in English. Drew is very happy about this change. Drew is at work on his first book, a novel in stories entitled Not an Autobiography. Drew is tired of 3rd person objective self-speech.

Searching for Truth through the fallacy of memory.
I write fiction that is at once experimental in style and form yet conventional in its humanity. I write about the fallacy of memory, relationships, Corporate America's morally barren landscape and the hope of a better future. I am deeply interested in language, and have often been called a poet, though I rarely write poems, but I am keenly aware of the aural nature of my stories as well as their appearance on the page. Experimentally, I tend to gravitate towards metafictional elements mixed with footnotes, lists, and other visual rearrangements of words on the page. My end goal in writing is not to obfuscate but to illuminate different storytelling possibilities while retaining as wide an audience as possible.
